Midjourney keeps introducing new features all the time. They announced recently that you can now edit images on the web and have them re-textured. To do this, you simply upload an image, select the area you want to change, insert your prompt, and let the AI do the work.
We’re testing two new features today: our image editor for uploaded images and image re-texturing for exploring materials, surfacing, and lighting. Everything works with all our advanced features, such as style references, character references, and personalized models pic.twitter.com/jl3a1ZDKNg

You can also extend your image and change its texture. I tried it on a simple optical illusion image but you can do a whole lot cooler things with this.
Once you are done, you can upscale your image to your gallery or simply download it. As these folks explain, everything will work with style reference, character reference and personalized models.
